Friday night JT and I got a MUCH needed date night! We hadn't been out ALONE in a month and a half. It was so nice to have an adult conversation over dinner without having to interrupt to say "stop throwing food" or "eat your beans". (to CJ, not each other). HA HA. I think that keeping the husband/wife relationship alive is so important, but is something that is SO hard to do when you are in constant Dada/Mama mode, and don't have family or friends to babysit. We're so glad we found a great sitter here on sittercity, but with our tight budget we can't afford nights out as often as we'd like.
After dinner, we went to the movies too to see "The Descendants" with George Clooney. It was filmed in Hawaii. Seeing the beautiful scenery and hearing the familiar 'pidgin' (slang) was comforting, but also made us a little "homesick" for where we once lived. We had a really fun time together, and with all the good movies coming out this month that we saw previews for, we are really hoping we won't have to wait too long to go out on another date!!
